The Mission

Bringing marginalised stories to the mainstream

The current adaptation system doesn't just leave out stories — it leaves out people. When studios decide what gets made, they default to what's safe. The result is that entire communities never see themselves on screen.

Reelized bypasses the gatekeepers entirely. We exist to bring underrepresented voices — LGBT+, disabled, POC, neurodivergent — to audiences who are hungry for stories that reflect their lived experience.

Meet the Founder

Jack Williamson

Jack Williamson is a former music industry executive, who lived through the Napster disruption firsthand — and understands how creative industries respond to, and are transformed by, technological change.

He is also an international best-selling fiction author, who knows the creative experience inside out and the adaptation gap from the inside.

Additionally, as a qualified psychotherapist Jack brings a clinical understanding of how to deal with relationships, the importance of identity, representation, and why seeing yourself in stories matters.
